Creative 3D Foam Prop Ideas for Marketing and Advertising

We’ve been working with a few creative agencies and have discussed several innovative and interesting ways they can use EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) foam to communicate brand awareness and help market their client’s products, services, and special events.  I wanted to share a few of these with you as most people aren’t aware of some of the more specialized applications when using EPS foam props.

One of the creative agencies we spoke to was looking for a way to add some creative touches to a billboard campaign for one of their larger customers.  Their client required something that would set themselves apart from their competitors and offer a new and refreshing look to their marketing campaign.  Our team’s solution was to come up with a billboard idea that would use EPS foam props that would attach to the billboard to give it a 3 dimensional look instead of the usual 2D flat image we’re used to seeing.  The team loved the concept and will be presenting it as a solution to their client.  This is just one of the ways that using EPS foam props can set you apart from some of the more traditional 2D billboard advertising methods.

Another interesting way EPS foam can be used for marketing is to take a client’s product or logo, scan it with a 3D scanner and pull it into our 3D modeling software so that it can be scaled up or down or modified as needed prior to production.   As an example, one of our customer’s owns a craft brew company that’s looking for a 5 ft version of their wooden beer cask with their logo on it.  Not only does a 5 ft tall wooden beer cask gain attention at beer fests but it also doubles as a way to draw a crowd to your booth.

Another way EPS foam can be used for marketing and advertising is to create a photo opportunity prop.  We spoke to a large music fest and created a 3 dimensional version of their logo with a special anniversary celebration element that can be removed after their anniversary year so that the prop could continue to be used.  The prop was designed to hold the weight of several people so they could pose or sit on the prop while having their picture taken and uploaded to social media.  This means free marketing for your company or event as the picture is shared on social media platforms and seen by their friends.

These are just a few of the different projects we’ve been a part of and we’ll make sure to continue to share these new and interesting ways to market and advertise using EPS foam.  If you have any questions regarding VFX Foam services, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.  We’re here to help!  We can be reached at www.vfxfoam.com or by calling 888-291-2720.
